Jakarta - The ASC Padel club, established by House of Representatives member Ahmad Sahroni, is ready to build a padel development ecosystem in Indonesia and will be guided by two Spanish coaches in preparation for the 2026 National Circuit.

Club chairman Ali Harsya Rusmiputro stated that the club is open to all, whether from communities or individuals. “Our nearest targets are the upcoming National Circuit and the FIP Bronze event in July,” he said in an official statement on Saturday.

Beyond recruiting Spanish coaches, ASC Padel is actively strengthening its ranks by bringing in several potential players with proven track records at the national level. The club is reinforced by athlete Armando Soemarno, a three-time national finalist who has also competed in an international tournament in Shanghai.

Management is also opening opportunities to send athletes for training camps directly in Spain to enrich their international experience. Initially, five to six athletes are planned to be dispatched for the training camp in Spain.

“Currently, we may only send five to six people, but if we reach the target of eight male pairs and four female pairs, everyone can go,” Ali said.

ASC Chairman Imamuddin emphasised that the team’s formation is rooted in Ahmad Sahroni’s strong commitment to advancing the world of sports in Indonesia. “I am confident that Mr Sahroni’s seriousness in establishing ASC Padel will be like ASC Motorsport,” Imamuddin stated.
