ASABRI's Profit Soars 158% to Rp713 Billion in 2025, Assets Reach Rp55 Trillion
PT ASABRI (Persero) recorded a sharp rise in net profit throughout 2025. President Director of PT ASABRI (Persero) Jeffry Haryadi P. Manullang said the company’s net profit in 2025 reached Rp713.72 billion, soaring 158% from Rp275.60 billion the previous year.
“Net profit for 2025 was Rp713.72 billion, up 158% from Rp275.60 billion the year before. Meanwhile, comprehensive profit of Rp529.94 billion rose 222.02% from Rp164.57 billion previously,” Jeffry said during a meeting with Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), quoted on Friday (10/7/2026).
The performance was supported by improved investment returns and more conducive capital market conditions throughout the past year.
“The improvement in financial performance was contributed by, first, highly competitive investment returns; second, supportive capital market conditions; and third, the implementation of PSAK 109 provisions, which also helped boost our financial performance in 2025. Nevertheless, the dominant factors were investment performance and the capital market situation,” he said.
In line with this, ASABRI’s total assets also grew at a double-digit rate. By the end of 2025, the company’s assets reached Rp55.97 trillion, up 12.23% compared with the previous year. Meanwhile, the equity position continued to improve, with the deficit narrowing from minus Rp894 billion to minus Rp363 billion.
In terms of financial health, the solvency level rose significantly from 124% in 2024 to 321% in 2025, a jump of around 157%.
The improved performance was also reflected on the investment side. The yield on investment increased to 7.43% from 4.94% the previous year, a growth of 49.28%. Net investment income reached Rp985 billion, up 56.82% from Rp628 billion in 2024.
On the operational side, ASABRI paid out 69,749 claims throughout 2025. The breakdown includes around 56,000 claims under the Old Age Savings (THT) programme, 4,500 Work Accident Insurance (JKK) claims, and 8,400 Death Insurance (JKM) claims.
Nevertheless, Jeffry acknowledged that the Old Age Savings (THT) programme remains a major challenge as the claims ratio continues to exceed 100%.
“Looking at the claims ratio, which has long been a scourge for PT ASABRI, it is the THT programme where the claims ratio sits above 100%. In 2025, claims totalled Rp1.5 trillion while premiums were Rp1.3 trillion, meaning the claims ratio stands at 115.65%,” he said.
He added that this situation is also reflected in the still-negative underwriting margin.
“If we look deeper at the underwriting margin ratio, where insurance income is minus insurance expenses divided by insurance income, we only achieved an underwriting margin of minus 43.57%. In other words, expenses remain higher,” said Jeffry.
Meanwhile, the number of ASABRI participants continues to grow. By the end of 2025, membership increased to around 1.55 million from 1.479 million the previous year, a growth of 4.78%. Of that total, approximately 1.05 million are active participants, while around 500,000 are pension participants.
Even so, participant growth has fallen short of initial projections, which had anticipated a larger intake of personnel.
“In 2025, growth was still not as aggressive as outlined in the projections,” Jeffry said.
