ASABRI Delivers Adequate Housing for Retirees in Mataram

PT ASABRI (Persero) is committed to enhancing participants’ welfare through the implementation of the ASABRI Healthy Housing Initiative for Participants (GRIYA). The programme focuses on providing suitable housing for retired ASABRI participants who lack adequate accommodation.

The GRIYA programme was implemented at the home of Sayuti, a retired TNI civil servant who last served at Kesdam IX/Udayana in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. The house underwent renovations over approximately three months, from December 2025 to February 2026, focusing on improving ventilation, space organisation, and aspects of safety, health, and comfort.

ASABRI’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeffry Haryadi P M, stated that the initiative is a moral responsibility to support participants who have retired. This aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision for economic equality and poverty reduction.

“The GRIYA programme is a tangible manifestation of ASABRI’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility. We aim to ensure that those who have dedicated themselves to the nation continue to receive attention and support, particularly in meeting the basic need for adequate housing in retirement,” Jeffry said in a statement on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Hikmayani, daughter of beneficiary Sayuti, thanked ASABRI: “We are deeply grateful for ASABRI’s assistance. Our parents’ home is now suitable, safe, and comfortable to live in.”

Through this programme, ASABRI strives to ensure retired participants have access to adequate housing as part of inclusive national development.

The initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, focusing on safe and habitable housing to enhance community resilience.

ASABRI Mataram Branch Head Nugrah Wahyu Wicaksono stated that the programme is expected to deliver long-term benefits for beneficiaries.
