But behind this ease of access to information, there is a big challenge: we become easily swept up in the atmosphere. Sometimes, without even knowing the full facts, we already panic, get angry, or even spread information whose truth is unclear.

This is where it becomes crucial for us to ‘keep a cool head’. This means we must continue to think clearly and not be easily influenced by trending global issues. Especially if the issue is related to geopolitics, which is actually complex and cannot be seen from just one side. We need to be more critical in filtering information so that we are not easily provoked.

Furthermore, a sense of nationalism is also very important in conditions like these. Nationalism is not just about ceremonies or state symbols, but also about how we remain proud to be part of Indonesia and strive to maintain unity. Amidst many differences, we must be able to respect each other and not be easily divided just because of a viral issue.

For example, when a global conflict impacts the economy, we can start with simple things like supporting local products or being wiser in our consumption. Or when there is information that triggers debate, we can choose to find a trusted source before joining in spreading it.

In essence, even though the world is ‘hot’ and full of pressure from various directions, we as Indonesian society must remain calm, critical, and have a strong anchor. That way, we are not just spectators of global issues, but can also be a smart society that is not easily swept away by the current.
