As Risks Keep Evolving, AXA Mandiri Urges Parents to Prepare Provisions for an Increasingly Uncertain Future

In the AXA Future Risk Report 2025, more than 25,000 respondents from 57 countries, including Indonesia, were surveyed between 14 May and 19 June 2025. The results show the top ten risks expected to most affect human life in the future: climate change, geopolitical stability, cybersecurity, AI and big data, social tensions, natural resources and biodiversity, macroeconomic risk, energy risk, financial stability, and demographic changes.
These findings indicate that today’s risks no longer stand alone. Various challenges are interconnected and can have a cascading impact on people’s lives. At the same time, the report also notes increasing social fragmentation. This condition makes many families feel they need to take a more active role in preparing for their children’s future.
Furthermore, the same report places financial stability risk in ninth position, recorded as the highest type of risk cited by Indonesian respondents. Many respondents worry about a financial system failure due to ongoing geopolitical conditions and the widening socio-economic gap. Therefore, the role of insurance becomes crucial as a provision for family protection from the impact of these risks should they occur.
