JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Retired Army Chief of Staff (TNI) General Dudung Abdurrachman has been officially inaugurated as the new Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP).

However, Dudung is still serving as the President’s Special Advisor on National Defence matters.

Dudung suspects that he will soon be replaced from the position of Special Advisor to the President.

“Still holding both positions. There will definitely be a replacement soon,” said Dudung at the Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026).

“Of course, the upcoming tasks involve succeeding the national strategy programme and ensuring the President’s flagship programmes are completed thoroughly and quickly,” he stated.

As the new KSP, Dudung affirmed that he also bears the responsibility of connecting the public with the government.

“Whatever the complaints are, I will open 24-hour reports from the public. This includes evaluating and monitoring the programmes of ministries and institutions,” said Dudung.

Dudung explained that the role of the KSP is not only as a connector but also to coordinate cooperation with ministries/institutions up to local governments to simplify the bureaucratic system.

“So that priority matters for the President do not encounter bureaucratic problems. We will cut through the bureaucracy,” he said.

“Once again, I ask for cooperation from the entire public and all institutions. If there are priority programmes of the President that are not running properly, we will inspect and resolve them well,” Dudung added.
