As Head of the Presidential Staff Office, Dudung Affirms He Has Retired from the TNI
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Retired General TNI Dudung Abdurrachman has affirmed that he has retired from the TNI.
Dudung stated that he is now an ordinary civilian. His military background is now in the past.
“I have retired, it’s been two years. I am a civilian,” said Dudung to journalists after the handover ceremony at the Bina Graha Building, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
“Well, it’s fine to have backgrounds from anywhere. After all, those from civilian sectors also become ministers, and there are many from ministries as well,” he added.
On this occasion, Dudung also admitted to having received many reports on duties and functions from Qodari, his predecessor as KSP.
He promised to continue them and to ensure the success of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes.
“This has already been well-monitored and we will certainly continue it for the perfection of the KSP’s subsequent activities,” he further stated.
According to him, many bureaucracies have been streamlined in the era of President Prabowo’s administration. One of them is in the fertiliser distribution sector for farmers.
“For example, the bureaucracy regarding fertiliser. Well, this happens in many other places too because the aim is to resolve things quickly. We will also highlight that,” he explained.
