As Finance Minister, Suahasil Nazara Prepared to Release July-August State Budget Data

Jakarta, VIVA – Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara has immediately prepared his work agenda after being re-entrusted to lead the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

One of the primary objectives is to present the realisation of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the July and August 2026 period. Suahasil stated that the report will be delivered through an Asset and Liability Committee (ALCo) press conference. This presentation is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of national financial management.

“Regarding the APBN, we will hold an ALCo press conference as soon as possible,” Suahasil said during a press conference at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta on Monday, 14 September 2026.

Up to this point, the Ministry of Finance has only released the APBN realisation for the first semester of 2026. Detailed data for the July and August 2026 period has not yet been published.

ALCo is a forum within the Ministry of Finance that discusses economic developments, the implementation of the APBN, state revenue and expenditure, as well as the condition of government financing and cash reserves.

Suahasil ensured that the APBN realisation data to be presented will be made complete. This is part of an effort to maintain transparency in the management of the state budget to the public.

Suahasil also emphasised her commitment to continuing the work within the Ministry of Finance and maintaining the institution’s credibility.

“We will continue our respective tasks and create a Ministry of Finance that is credible, trustworthy, and a source of pride for all the people of Indonesia,” she said.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Suahasil Nazara as Finance Minister at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 97P of 2026 regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of the Finance Minister of the Red and White Cabinet for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term, established on 14 September 2026.

Suahasil becomes the third Finance Minister under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. The position was previously held by Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, who was inaugurated on 8 September 2025, replacing Sri Mulyani.

Before being re-entrusted as Finance Minister, Suahasil had served as Deputy Finance Minister since 25 October 2019 in President Joko Widodo’s Indonesia Maju Cabinet. She was subsequently re-appointed as Deputy Finance Minister in the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024-2029 period on 21 October 2024.
