As Educational Platform, BNN Gianyar Holds Grand Final of Shining Student Ambassador 2026
The grand final of the Shining Student Ambassador (Drug-Free) for Gianyar Regency 2026 took place vibrantly in the First Meeting Room of the Regent of Gianyar on Saturday (11/4/2026). The event, organised by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Gianyar Regency, forms part of efforts to strengthen the role of students in preventing the misuse and illicit circulation of narcotics.
Head of BNN Gianyar Regency, Sudirman, stated that the event holds strategic value in educational efforts to save the young generation from drug threats. He assessed the activity as also aimed at supporting the realisation of Golden Indonesia 2045.
“Through this event, it is hoped that student ambassadors will emerge who can pioneer campaigning for healthy living without drugs among the young generation,” said Sudirman in his statement on Saturday.
“Moreover, this activity serves as an educational medium as well as a strengthening of collective commitment to realising a Gianyar free from drugs,” he added.
BNN Gianyar Regency invites all elements of society, especially students, to continue playing an active role in supporting the Shining Movement. Sudirman said the movement is for the future of a healthier and more accomplished generation.
It is known that the Shining Student Ambassador event refers to several regulations, including Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics to Presidential Regulation Number 47 of 2019 on the National Narcotics Agency. There is also the Gianyar Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2023 on the Prevention and Eradication of Misuse and Illicit Circulation of Narcotics and Narcotic Precursors.
Assistant for Government Administration and Public Welfare of Gianyar Regency, I Ketut Mudana, appreciated the event initiated by BNN Gianyar. According to Mudana, BNN Gianyar has consistently organised such activities.
“The selection of Shining Student Ambassadors is not merely a competition, but a strategic forum in shaping the tough, characterful young generation of Gianyar with high awareness of the dangers of drug misuse,” said Mudana.
Mudana hopes the Shining Student Ambassador programme can become a relevant innovative approach. Not only repressive, but also emphasising educational aspects, active participation, and empowering students as pioneers in realising a healthy, safe school environment free from drugs.
“We all realise that the challenges faced by the young generation today are increasingly complex. The flow of globalisation, technological advancements, and social dynamics present opportunities as well as threats. In this context, the role of the young generation becomes very important as agents of change, agents of social control, and agents of development,” he concluded.
