Aryaduta to run hotel in Bogor
JAKARTA (JP): Aryaduta Hotel Management Ltd., a hotel
management firm affiliated with the publicly-listed PT Hotel
Prapatan, will run a property called Hotel Lido in Bogor, West
Java.
Hotel Lido's spokesperson, Vitri M. Soehardjo, told The
Jakarta Post over the weekended that Aryaduta will manage the
three-star hotel for four years.
Since it began operation last July, the hotel was run by PT
Lidosarana Prima which owns the property.
"Top executives from Lidosarana and Aryaduta are scheduled to
seal an agreement for the management contract today," Vitri said.
The spokesperson said that Hotel Lido, about a 1.5 hour drive
from Jakarta via the toll road, offers 102 rooms and targets
businessmen as its main customers.
According to Vitri, the hotel is a part of Resor Danau Lido, a
planned agro-tourism area developed on a 1,800-hectare plot also
in West Java.
"The project is situated in an area between the Salak and
Pangrango Mountains, making the hotel suitable for conferences or
meetings. Many executives from Jakarta have held their meetings
at the hotel since our soft opening," she said.
Resor Danau Lido is developed by PT Pengembangan Agrowisata
Prima. The project, which is owned by businesswomen Endang
Mokodompit, offers agro-tourism as well as the leisure of
protected forests, off road motoring and parachuting.
Vitri said that her hotel would be the first property managed
by Aryaduta, a subsidiary of Hotel Prapatan.
Hotel Prapatan is the owner of Hotel Aryaduta Jakarta, a five-
star hotel managed by Hyatt International.
In addition to Hotel Lido, Aryaduta will also manage another
star-rated hotel located in Pekanbaru, Riau.
The hotel in Riau, developed with an investment of about US$17
million, is scheduled to open later this year. (icn)
