Arya Sinulingga Hopes PSSI Pers Will Provide Public Education on the Rules of the Game

Arya Sinulingga, a member of the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco), officially opened the inaugural agenda of the new PSSI Pers leadership for the 2026–2029 term. The event, held at Field C at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on Friday, 6 March 2026, marked a milestone in the collaboration between the federation and Indonesia’s sports journalism community. This momentum was the first programme for the PSSI Pers leadership elected in February 2026.

Under the theme “Jemput Bola dan Sambung Rasa” (“Proactive Engagement and Connecting with People”), the activity was presented in a warm atmosphere with a breaking-fast gathering and a friendly football match among Pers members. In his remarks, Arya Sinulingga expressed appreciation to Robbi Yanto as chair and Muhammad Adi Yaksa as deputy chair who now lead the organisation. “Oh, yes. Congratulations to our PSSI Pers friends who have chosen a chair and deputy chair, and have formed the management,” Arya said. He hopes this collaboration can improve the public’s understanding of the dynamics of national football. “We hope that PSSI Pers will be the best partners to provide literacy, various information, and also to make football better in the eyes of the public,” he continued.

Furthermore, Arya urged journalists to continue deepening their technical knowledge. One concrete step suggested was to continue the tradition of regular discussions with match officials, especially referees, so that the reporting produced has high accuracy. “As we previously held regular discussions with referees and the referees committee, that should be continued.” “So that colleagues can gain more perspectives on how the ‘rules of the game’ for football actually operate,” Arya said. According to him, a deep understanding of the rules of the game will greatly help journalists in providing accurate education.
