Jakarta (ANTARA) — Technology aggregator Arupa Cloud Nusantara, which focuses on cloud infrastructure solutions, has officially launched the Civo Indonesia Region with Civo. The sovereign public cloud platform is designed to support Kubernetes, virtual machines and modern application development for artificial intelligence (AI) and Indonesia’s digital economy.

“Indonesia has significant potential for adopting cloud-native technology, as businesses’ need grows for infrastructure that is easier to manage, offers cost transparency and is designed to support modern applications,” Civo Chief Commercial Officer Simon Hansford said in Jakarta on Monday.

He said the partnership with Arupa brings Civo’s Kubernetes-first cloud platform directly to companies in Indonesia, backed by local experts and an operating model tailored to the Indonesian market.

The infrastructure is operated entirely by Arupa in Indonesia, providing cloud-native capabilities with local support while ensuring that customer data remains under Indonesian jurisdiction.

Hansford said Civo Public Cloud is an enterprise-ready platform built on open standards, with infrastructure designed to be fast, simple and cost-effective.

“Through this local deployment in Jakarta, customers can access managed Kubernetes, virtual machines, managed PostgreSQL databases, load balancers and block storage to meet a range of application and workload needs,” he said.

Civo Chief Technology Officer Dinesh Majrekar said the platform supports various infrastructure management tools, including Kubernetes-native tooling, Terraform, CLI, REST API and a web dashboard.

“Kubernetes gives development teams the flexibility to build, deploy and scale applications based on open standards without adding unnecessary infrastructure complexity,” Majrekar said.

He added that, by combining managed Kubernetes, integrated tools and support for modern cloud-native workloads, Civo aims to help teams spend less time managing infrastructure and focus more on developing and improving applications.

Majrekar said the launch of the Civo Indonesia Region was an important step for Arupa in expanding cloud infrastructure options for companies in Indonesia.

Arupa Cloud Nusantara Chief Executive Reza Kertadjaja said the partnership was intended to help companies build and run modern applications more quickly, simplify cloud infrastructure management and gain the flexibility to develop digital services in line with their business needs.

“Civo’s Kubernetes-first platform is complemented by Arupa’s technology consulting capabilities and local technical support,” Reza said.

“We are committed to helping customers make technology decisions with greater confidence and use the cloud more effectively to support business growth,” he added.
