Arts festival to be held in Bogor

BOGOR: The Bogor administration will hold a Sundanese
traditional arts festival at city hall on Jl. Juanda on Saturday
in celebration of the town's 521st anniversary.

A total of 27 performing artists will take to the stage,
according to the head of the Bogor arts and culture office, Renny
Handayani.

The festival, which is now into its fourth year, involves
1,000 artists from Bogor and other areas of West Java.

The administration has budgeted Rp 150 million for the event.
A Bogor-based art group taking part in the festival will receive
Rp 2 million, while those from outside Bogor will be paid about
Rp 3.5 million each.--JP
