Artotel Gajahmada Semarang Hosts Opening Reception for 'EPISENTRUM' Solo Exhibition by Yayas Syahdu
Artotel Gajahmada Semarang, located in the Simpang Lima area of Semarang, has officially opened its art exhibition titled ‘EPISENTRUM’, a solo exhibition of works by contemporary artist Yayas Syahdu, through an Opening Reception held on Friday, 15 May 2026, at the Artspace of Artotel Gajahmada Semarang.
Curated by Windi Salomo, Art Director of Artotel Group, the exhibition presents 12 selected works that explore self-reflection, introspection, longing, and emotional experiences through Yayas Syahdu’s distinctive visual approach. Through cheerful animal figures and expressive colour compositions, each artwork invites the audience to enter a personal yet relatable space of reflection.
The Opening Reception was attended by invited guests, media, creative communities, art enthusiasts, and various stakeholders from the creative industry in Semarang. The event included a welcome speech, a session with the artist, a symbolic opening, and a guided exhibition tour led by Yayas Syahdu.
Rudy Adimulyo, General Manager of Artotel Gajahmada Semarang, stated that the presence of ‘EPISENTRUM’ is part of Artotel’s commitment to providing a space that not only functions as a hospitality destination but also as a creative platform that brings together art, experience, and the public in a vibrant ecosystem.
