Artists to stage exhibit in Kuwait

DENPASAR, Bali: Seven Indonesian artists are to hold a two-
week exhibit of their works in Kuwait at the invitation of the
Kuwaiti government, Antara reported on Thursday.

"This will be our second exhibition in Kuwait after one in
February 1997," the leader of the artists, I Nyoman Rudana, said
after a meeting with Bali Governor Dewa Made Beratha here on
Thursday.

The artists will display 43 works from Nov. 21 to Dec. 5, said
Rudana, who is also the owner of a museum in Peliatan, Ubud.

The seven artists are Wayan Bendi, Wayan Darmika who is from
Bali, Abas Ali Basah from Jakarta, Sudarso from East Java,
Widayat and Eddy Cah Estu from Yogyakarta, and Mohamad Harahap
from Sumatra.
