Jakarta (ANTARA) - A number of artists, political figures, and members of the public gathered at the Gedung Juanc 45 in Jakarta on Friday to declare their support for the Astacita programmes of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The declaration was part of a social service activity organised by the Astacita Merah Putih 08 Alliance, which included donations to orphans and cultural performances by various artists, including Ricky Tamba and Erlyn Suzan.

Approximately 200 invited members of the public and 50 orphan recipients agreed to support the President’s strategic programmes, such as Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), Free Health Checks, People’s Schools, Garuda Schools, and agricultural downstreaming.

“This is a concrete example of how the people truly love Mr Prabowo,” said Ricky.

According to Ricky, today’s event proves that the community is countering negative narratives about the government through real action via art and by contributing to the welfare of the underprivileged.

“Therefore, the various forms of disinformation, slander, and hatred being spread every day are untrue. The people, united within the Astacita Merah Putih 08 Alliance, are proving this through poetry, songs, political oratory, and a shared determination to monitor Mr Prabowo to ensure his priority programmes are implemented faithfully,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Astacita Merah Putih 08 Alliance, Hendi Lesmana, stated that they will conduct a roadshow across Indonesia, visiting slums and remote areas to ensure the public can access education, healthcare, and nutrition services.

He noted that government performance would not succeed if not properly monitored.

“As the Astacita Merah Putih 08 Alliance, we are ready to oversee these programmes to ensure they reach the community, thereby boosting the economy,” said Hendi.

Law enforcement was also a focus of the monitoring efforts. Nahdlatul Ulama figure from East Java, Gus Faqih, stated that upon discovering that the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) programme was misdirected and that several SPPG points were being traded illegally, he reported the matter directly to President Prabowo.

“Two weeks after we reported it, Mr Prabowo acted swiftly, and arrests were made,” said Gus Faqih.

From the perspective of Erlyn Suzan, an artist and Chairperson of the Pusaka Senibumi Nusantara Institute, she assessed Astacita as a programme to enhance the character development of the nation’s generation to ensure they are healthy and intelligent.

Her group distributed milk to the children in attendance to support improved nutrition.

Miss Indonesia North Sumatra 2023, Tabitha Napitupulo, added that today’s event represents an inclusive government. She expressed hope that today’s activity would become a collective movement to realise ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’ (Golden Indonesia 2045).

“We hope that alongside fellow artists and politicians, we can represent the achievement of prosperity for all people across all economic strata to realise Indonesia Emas 2045,” said Bitha.

In addition to the social service activities, the event featured poetry readings by Ricky Tamba titled “Father, What is Your Heart Made Of?” and political orations from several regional political figures.

During the event, the Astacita Merah Putih 08 Alliance issued the following statement of stance:

  1. Full support for all flagship programmes of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration to achieve people’s welfare in accordance with the Astacita vision-mission, the 17 priority programmes, and the eight quick-win programmes, including MBG, Free Health Checks, People’s Schools, Garuda Excellence Schools, agricultural downstreaming, and other strategic programmes.

  2. A commitment to monitor and support the success of these flagship government programmes through real action within the community.

  3. An invitation to all elements of society to maintain national unity and stability for the sake of just development.

  4. Rejection of and resistance against all forms of disinformation, slander, hatred, and interventions of neo-colonialism and neoliberalism that attempt to divide the nation.

  5. Prayers for President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to remain healthy, faithful, and happy in leading the struggle to realise a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
