Artist Bramasto dies of heart attack

JAKARTA (JP): Popular painter Bramasto died of a heart attack
here last Friday (Jan.19).

Born in Malang (East Java) 55 years ago, Bramasto started his
artistic career in l957 when he entered the Fine Art school in
his home town.

In l960, he began exhibiting his works in several Asian and
European countries. Since then, Bramasto has been active in a
large number of joint and solo exhibitions both in Indonesia and
abroad.

His artistic talent was best expressed in his excellent
portrayals of female beauty and femininity. Bramasto died on the
last day of his exhibition at Taman Puri (Oasis Garden), South
Jakarta. (raw)
