Artha Graha Peduli Urges 90 Minutes of Energy Saving for Earth Hour 2026
Artha Graha Peduli (AGP), together with the Artha Graha Network, is once again affirming its commitment to environmental preservation through active participation in the global Earth Hour 2026 event.
For this year’s commemoration, Artha Graha Peduli is calling on all business units, partners, employees, and the public to save energy for 90 minutes by switching off lights and restricting the use of non-essential electricity simultaneously.
Participation in Earth Hour has become a routine agenda for Artha Graha Peduli along with all business units within the Artha Graha Network. In previous implementations, the Earth Hour activities conducted simultaneously successfully recorded significant energy savings and became part of tangible efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
For 2026, Earth Hour Indonesia is adopting the theme “Give Space to the Earth,” which resonates with the values of Artha Graha Peduli.
“This commitment also continues previous campaigns that encouraged the public to save energy and water through the”Switch Off” movement as part of collective awareness towards environmental sustainability,” stated Senior Artha Graha Peduli, Heka Hertanto, in an official statement on Sunday (29/3/2026).
Through this 90-minute energy-saving action, it is hoped to prevent 195 tons of carbon from being released into the Earth’s atmosphere. Artha Graha Peduli hopes to strengthen collective awareness that actions taken together can have a significant impact on efforts to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and preserve the living environment sustainably.
This step and tangible commitment are part of Artha Graha Peduli’s ongoing commitment to implementing social responsibility programmes focused on environmental care. In carrying out CSR activities, Artha Graha Peduli covers environmental, social, economic, legal, and justice issues, with one of the main pillars being environmental awareness or care for the environment.
