Artha Graha Peduli expands affordable "door-to-door" market programme ahead of Eid
Jakarta — Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) is expanding its subsidised “door-to-door” market programme to help communities obtain basic necessities at more affordable prices, particularly during Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr, when demand for food items typically increases.
E.H. Rebelo, Executive Director of AGP’s Affordable Market programme, said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday that the Subsidised Affordable Market programme has been running since 11 December 2025 across various regions in Indonesia, particularly in areas surrounding Artha Graha Network business units through AGP’s designated service areas.
“Since launching on 11 December 2025, we have introduced this affordable market programme as a demonstration of our commitment to helping communities access essential goods at more affordable prices,” he said.
Over the past three months of operation, the affordable market has provided subsidised food packages at accessible prices.
In mid-March 2026, additional strategic food commodities were introduced, focusing on Artha Graha Network business units in the Jabodetabek region. In addition to basic food packages, communities in the area can now obtain kitchen essentials such as curly red chilli, small red chilli, and shallots at subsidised prices.
The addition of these commodities responds to price fluctuations in the chilli and shallot markets whilst helping maintain community purchasing power for daily kitchen necessities, particularly in urban areas such as Jabodetabek where consumption of these items is high.
“We are offering these commodities at prices below the government reference price so communities can directly experience the benefits of this programme. Through the door-to-door market operation concept, we hope this programme can reach communities more closely and target those most in need,” he added.
The door-to-door market operation reaches communities directly, particularly in areas designated as AGP service zones. Through this approach, the team visits communities directly to ensure subsidised commodity distribution is better targeted and reaches those in need more broadly.
Through this initiative, Artha Graha Peduli hopes to continue contributing to food security and maintaining community purchasing power, particularly ahead of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr, whilst strengthening the spirit of mutual aid and social concern within society.
