Artha Graha Foundation's Commitment to Community Assistance
The commitment of the Artha Graha Peduli Foundation is demonstrated not only through free healthcare services for the community but also through humanitarian missions with Padar Heritage Conservation (PHC). In early June, PHC provided emergency medical evacuation assistance for a resident of Komodo Island who required immediate medical attention. The humanitarian aid began with information received by PHC via a telephone call from the family of a patient named Haji Salim. Based on a medical examination and confirmation from Dr Andreas of the Komodo Community Health Centre, the patient was diagnosed with a non-haemorrhagic stroke and needed further treatment at a referral healthcare facility. After receiving the report, the PHC team immediately coordinated and prepared an evacuation vessel. The PHC vessel departed once all operational preparations were complete. The patient was then transported from Komodo Island to Labuan Bajo, accompanied by several healthcare workers from the Komodo Community Health Centre. Upon the vessel’s arrival in Labuan Bajo, the patient was immediately transferred by ambulance to Komodo Regional General Hospital for further treatment. This humanitarian mission was carried out by PHC under the auspices of the Artha Graha Peduli Foundation, supported by the Labuan Bajo Harbourmaster and Port Authority Office and the West Manggarai Police’s Vital Object Security unit. This support ensured the evacuation process proceeded safely and smoothly. Assistance was also provided by the Artha Graha Peduli Foundation during Idul Adha some time ago. The foundation distributed hundreds of sacrificial animals to various regions across Indonesia. The distribution reached urban areas, rural villages, remote regions, and areas requiring broader social attention. This annual kurban programme involved the active participation of employees, volunteers, fostered communities, and representatives of all business units under the Artha Graha Group and Artha Graha Network. The sacrificial animals were distributed from Sabang to Merauke, particularly to areas surrounding Artha Graha Group and Artha Graha Network business units. Distribution also reached various institutions and community groups, including Islamic boarding schools, fostered communities, mosques near business units, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the Indonesian National Police, and various other stakeholders and communities in need across Indonesia.
