ART and Babysitter Allegedly Victims of Sexual Violence by Driver in North Jakarta

JAKARTA, Kompas.com — A domestic worker (ART) with the initials DI (20) and a babysitter with the initials EA (20) are alleged to have become victims of sexual violence committed by a driver with the initials DF (30) in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.

The Head of the PPA-PPO unit at the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Ni Luh Sri Arsini, said that they received a report of the alleged act of sexual violence on the evening of Thursday, 21 May 2026.

‘The victims are two people, namely one ART and one babysitter,’ she said during an interview at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Friday, 22 May 2026.

Ni Luh revealed that the suspect, the initials DF, approached the victims by massaging their bodies after arriving at the employer’s home.

‘After arriving from his hometown, after changing clothes, the victim (DI) was initially massaged on the back by the perpetrator. Then the other victim, the babysitter, was also massaged, but at that time only the shoulder area was massaged, so the victim did not resist,’ she said.

She added that the perpetrator initially massaged the victims’ legs and shoulders before then locking the bedroom door and turning off the lights.

‘TWithout the victims’ consent, suddenly the perpetrator locked the bedroom door and turned off the lights, then forcibly had intercourse with the victims,’ Ni Luh said.

‘He admitted that he had only touched their erogenous areas a few times,’ she said.

According to Ni Luh, the ART victim did not dare to resist because she was afraid during the incident.

‘The victim was just scared. Because if she refused, she feared something worse might happen to her,’ she said.

The employer of the victims reported the incident to the Kelapa Gading Police Sector before it was transferred to the North Jakarta Metro Police.

‘We have not yet questioned the suspect. We have only questioned the two victims so far,’ she added.
