Arsonist who burned Village Head Hoho Alkaf's car arrested

Praise be to God the suspect has been arrested. One person has been secured, according to Banjarnegara Police Chief AKBP Mariska Fendi Susanto, via text message, reported by detikJateng on Thursday, 21 May 2026. After receiving a report from the victim on 23 April 2026, officers conducted a thorough follow-up, securing evidence and interviewing witnesses. Police subsequently arrested the suspect identified as RP (43), a resident of Desa Panggisari, Mandiraja, Banjarnegara, located not far from the victim’s home. RP was apprehended on Friday (15 May) at around 04:00 WIB in the Mandiraja area. The police have questioned RP, who admitted to the offence. “He admitted to burning the victim’s car,” he said. Meanwhile, Hoho Alkaf denied that the suspect had ever been his driver. He described the suspect as a fraud. “He never drove a dump truck for me. That is completely untrue and a fabrication,” Hoho told detikJateng on Wednesday, 20 May.
