Arroyo pops her pills to keep going
MANILA (AFP): Diminutive Philippines President Gloria Arroyo said on Tuesday that sleep, golf and a big dose of post-menopause drugs keep her going in the difficult task of ruling the Asian nation of 76 million.
"Clean living I guess. Time management. I try to get seven hours of sleep a day. If you want to have your creative faculties to work fully, as your analytical faculty, you should have seven hours a day," she told reporters.
"Also I take my vitamins, my calcium, my post-menopausal medicine religiously," she said, joining the reporters in guffaws.
Arroyo, who turns 54 next week, said she forces herself to rest on Sundays, when she either hits the fairways or watches a movie.
