In his speech, Harris emphasised that the organisation exists as a response to the needs of the times, not due to internal conflicts.
“Peradi Professional is not here to create division. Once again, I emphasise, Peradi Professional is not here to create division, and it is not here because of conflict; there is no conflict. But as an answer to the needs of the times,” said Harris.
He stated that advocate organisations must be able to adapt to technological developments and increasingly complex legal dynamics.
“The legal world is changing, technology is changing, and advocate organisations must not be left behind. Therefore, we want to build an advocate organisation that is modern in system, strong in intellectuality, high in ethics, and bold in fighting for justice,” he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of Law Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej delivered a message online. He explained that the role of advocates in the legal system is regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), including assisting parties being processed legally from the examination stage.
