Around 33,000 vehicles cross Cipali Toll Road over eleven hours
Subang (ANTARA) - The Cipali Toll Road operator recorded around 33,000 vehicles passing through the toll road towards Jakarta over eleven hours during the Lebaran return traffic on Sunday. Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, stated in Subang on Sunday that the one-way traffic flow on the Cipali Toll Road was observed to be smooth on both lanes. This figure indicates a 10% increase compared to the same period the previous day, with an average of around 3,000 vehicles per hour passing through the former Cikopo Toll Gate towards Jakarta. He said that to support the smoothness and safety of road users, Astra Tol Cipali has prepared 24-hour free operational services for road users. These operational services include 10 patrol units, 12 tow trucks and seven additional tow trucks, six rescue units, and five ambulances. Astra Tol Cipali advised road users to continue complying with signs and instructions from officers, and to avoid changing lanes or making U-turns during the one-way traffic engineering. If road users need to change lanes, it is recommended to exit through the nearest toll gate and continue the journey by re-entering the desired lane without incurring additional toll fees. Astra Tol Cipali also reminded all road users to ensure the condition of their vehicles and drivers is in prime condition. Road users are urged not to force themselves to drive if feeling tired or drowsy, and to utilise rest areas for breaks.
