Around 30 percent of the victims of the US and Israel attack on Iran are children

Tehran — Around 30 percent of those killed in the US and Israel’s strikes on Iran are children, Iran’s government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said on Friday. On Thursday, Iran’s Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation said the death toll from the US and Israel strikes on Iran had risen to 1,230 people. ‘Unfortunately, to date, nearly 30 percent of the deceased are children,’ Mohajerani said, as quoted by television station SNN. So far, around 3,090 residential buildings, 528 shops, and 13 medical facilities, including nine Iranian Red Crescent locations, have been affected by the attacks, she added. On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on several targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran retaliated with attacks on parts of Israel and on a number of US military bases across the Middle East.
