Army chief visits E. Timor
DILI, East Timor: Army chief Gen. Wiranto arrived in Dili yesterday for a three-day working visit of Indonesia's youngest province.
During his stay here, Wiranto will meet village chiefs and community leaders. He is also scheduled to meet provincial military commander Col. Slamat Sidabutar and Baucau regency military chief Col. Djodi Kusuma P.
Wiranto's visit here coincides with tomorrow's anniversary of East Timor's integration into Indonesia. Wiranto's entourage includes Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Slamet Surpiadi.
Wiranto is scheduled to depart tomorrow afternoon for the eastern most province of Irian Jaya, Antara reported.
