Army Chief Meets Prabowo at Palace, Reports on Bridge Construction and School Renovations

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto met with the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak at the Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026).

“President Prabowo Subianto received the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak along with a delegation of principal TNI Army officials at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday, 16 April 2026,” stated Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel TNI Teddy Indra Wijaya on the Cabinet Secretariat’s IG account on Thursday.

For instance, in the past three months, the TNI Army has completed the construction of 300 pioneer suspension bridges scattered throughout Indonesia.

Furthermore, Teddy said, the TNI Army has also finished renovating 300 schools in three disaster-impacted provinces in Sumatra, including the construction of 300 clean water bore points at those schools.

“Of course, this cooperation is driven by the concern of the local communities in the development areas,” added Teddy.
