Makkah (ANTARA) - The Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina Task Force (Armuzna) has reviewed the readiness of facilities and infrastructure in Arafah to ensure the safety and comfort of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims during the wukuf observance in the 2026 Hajj season.

The Head of Armuzna Operations Unit (Satops), Surnadi, in Makkah on Monday, stated that the inspection was focused on determining headquarters positions, movement routes, and evacuation systems in the 10 ad hoc sectors that will accommodate the pilgrims.

“Our focus today is to ensure the headquarters positions, movement routes, and evacuation systems. Nothing should be overlooked, so that pilgrims can occupy their tents and perform wukuf safely, comfortably, and with devotion,” he said.

Based on the field review, the task force noted several important evaluations to be immediately coordinated with the syarikah or service provider companies in Saudi Arabia, one of which involves re-examining headquarters positions.

To optimise services, the Arafah Task Force will deploy its full strength of 586 personnel.

Hundreds of these personnel will begin occupying their respective positions on 7 Dzulhijjah at 15:30 Saudi Arabia Time (WAS).

Subsequently, each ad hoc sector will be comprehensively responsible for serving the pilgrims’ needs for accommodation, consumption, transportation, and health.

This initial review is part of the planning and preparation stage for the Armuzna Task Force.

Next, the task force is scheduled to conduct socialisation to all sectors in the Makkah region, followed by a troop assembly roll call and final coordination meeting before the Hajj peak.
