Armuzna readiness reaches 95 percent, Hajj officers urged to maintain discipline

MAKKAH – The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) of the Republic of Indonesia through the Hajj Organising Task Force (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia continues to prepare for the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, Armuzna (Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina).

Surnadi, Head of the Armuzna Operations Unit for Hajj in Saudi Arabia 2026, said that preparations for Armuzna have reached 95 percent.

“From tents already set up, to internal facilities such as mattresses all in place,” Surnadi said after the Armuzna Operations Head briefing at Dayf Al-Arkan Hotel, Mecca, on Monday (18 May 2026).

As for facilities within the Armuzna tents, these include air conditioning (AC), toilets, and prayer spaces. Surnadi is optimistic that every pilgrim, without exception, will obtain tent facilities when in Armuzna.

The team has also conducted checks on tent readiness last week. “If there are any shortages, we have coordinated with syarikah so they can meet them,” Surnadi said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Pilgrim Protection at PPIH Saudi Arabia, Colonel (Ret) Muftiono, asked staff to understand their duties and functions (Tusi). In addition, staff must be disciplined. “What has been ordered, carry out your duties in your respective fields. Never abandon your duties,” Muftiono, who is also the Deputy Chair of PPIH Saudi Arabia 2026 Training, said.
