The DPR’s Hajj Oversight Team has commended the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) for its significantly improved management of the 2026 Hajj peak rituals, particularly during the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) phase, compared to previous years.

Gerindra faction member Danang Wicaksana stated that the critical phase of the 2026 Hajj during Armuzna had been successfully completed.

According to him, government and Hajj officials’ efforts have facilitated smooth movement and services for pilgrims in the holy land.

However, Danang stressed that the Hajj Service Staff (PPIH) tasks are not yet complete.

He urged all officials to remain focused on providing the best services to pilgrims until the entire ritual concludes and they return home.

“The Hajj peak has passed, but service to pilgrims must remain a priority until repatriation is complete. There must be no drop in service quality after the Armuzna phase,” Danang Wicaksana said in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, 30 May 2026.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining accommodation quality to ensure comfort for pilgrims still in the holy land.

Furthermore, food and beverage services in both Makkah and Madinah must remain under strict oversight to ensure pilgrims’ needs are adequately met.

Danang Wicaksana also called for the continued optimal operation of Shalawat buses serving Makkah, particularly to support pilgrims’ mobility to Masjidil Haram.

Additionally, intercity transportation is a key concern.

He noted that pilgrims’ travel from Makkah to Madinah must maintain schedule adherence, comfort, and safety throughout the journey.

“Similarly, the repatriation flight process must proceed smoothly, on time, and prioritise pilgrim safety and comfort,” he stressed.

The DPR Hajj Oversight Team hopes all stakeholders will maintain service quality until the end of the 2026 Hajj, ensuring all pilgrims complete their rituals and return to Indonesia safely, comfortably, and with a positive Hajj experience.
