Police have arrested a man identified by the initials YYS, also known as OS or K (33), in connection with firearms and ammunition transactions to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Jayapura, Papua. YYS, who had been a fugitive for six months, is suspected of acting as an intermediary.
“The Police Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz-202lar successfully secured a man included in the most wanted list, YYS, alias OS, alias K, in the Argapura area,” stated the Head of Public Relations for Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Kombes Yusuf Sutejo, to reporters on Friday (2/10/2026).
The suspect was arrested in the Abepura area of Jayapura City on Tuesday (29/9) at approximately 3:15 PM WIT. YYS was a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into weapons and ammunition networks in the Jayapura region, which has been under investigation since March 2026.
