Yerevan (ANTARA) - Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan announced that Armenia has officially ratified the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Indonesia.

“One hundred members of parliament (out of a total of 105) supported the ratification of the agreement on ‘free trade between the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states on the one hand, and the Republic of Indonesia on the other’,” said Rubinyan on Monday (14/9).

The Eurasian Economic Union is an economic cooperation bloc whose members comprise Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The agreement was previously signed on 21 December 2025 on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting held in St Petersburg, Russia.

In April, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the cooperation applies a preferential trade system – tariff or import duty relief – to more than 98 per cent of commodities in bilateral trade between Indonesia and Russia.
