Armed Forces Spokesman Explains Rationale for Alert Level 3 Status
Jakarta — Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto has downgraded the alert status from Level 1 to Level 3 for all TNI personnel. The Head of the TNI’s Public Information Centre (Kapuspen), Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, explained the rationale behind the change in alert status within the Armed Forces.
“I should clarify that Alert Status 3 is part of TNI unit readiness in maintaining operational preparedness,” Aulia stated to Republika in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.
According to him, despite the Level 3 alert status, all TNI personnel remain in a state of readiness to respond if assigned tasks. “However, in implementation, TNI personnel continue to carry out official duties at their units as normal, in accordance with their respective responsibilities and functions,” said Aulia.
