Ariston denies charges
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysia's Ariston Sdn. Bhd. yesterday denied reported criticism by Cambodia's leadership that it had dawdled over infrastructure projects in that country.
Ariston, Cambodia's largest foreign investor with a massive infrastructure contract in the southern port city of Sihanoukville, said the criticism was a result of a "misunderstanding" on the part of the Cambodian government.
The Cambodia Daily reported February 20 that Cambodia's First Prime Minister Prince Norodom Ranariddh had rapped Ariston for not starting the project as scheduled.
