The Central Jakarta District Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by songwriter Arie Sapta Hernawan, known as Ari Bias, against PT Aneka Bintang Gading, the company behind the Holywings (HW) Group. The case, registered under number 136/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Cipta/2025/PN Niaga Jkt Pst, was decided on Tuesday (9/6). The panel of judges, led by Achmad Rasyid Purba, ruled that the main lawsuit was inadmissible and also dismissed the defendant’s counterclaim. Both parties were ordered to pay court costs of Rp 734,000.

The dispute centred on the song ‘Bilang Saja’, popularised by Agnez Mo. Ari Bias had sought Rp 4.9 billion in compensation, alleging violations of his economic and moral rights as the song’s creator. He claimed the song was performed without his permission during three live concerts and requested the court to validate a seizure of assets belonging to HW Group, including properties in Surabaya, SCBD Jakarta, and Bandung.

This ruling follows a separate legal battle between Ari Bias and Agnez Mo. In that case, the Commercial Court initially ordered the singer to pay Rp 1.5 billion for performing the same song without a licence. However, Agnez Mo successfully appealed, and the Supreme Court overturned the decision, ruling in her favour.
