Argo Muria train resumes operations
SEMARANG, Central Java: The Argo Muria executive train serving the Jakarta-Semarang route resumed operations Monday after suspending its trips last week due to widespread rioting in Jakarta.
"Considering that the situation in Jakarta has returned to normal and the demand for train services has increased, we have decided to resume Argo Muria's operation," a spokesman for the railway office here, Suprapto, said yesterday as quoted by Antara.
Suprapto further noted that due to the rollback in fuel prices, the Argo Muria has decreased its one-way ticket from Rp 119,000 to Rp 115,000.
