Argo Muria, Argo Sindoro, and Argo Merbabu Trains Rebranded as KA Muria

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta has announced that the Argo Muria, Argo Sindoro, and Argo Merbabu train services on the Gambir–Semarang Tawang route will officially operate under the name KA Muria starting today.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, stated that this change is a simplification of service identity intended to provide a more concise, consistent, and easily recognisable name for customers.

“We remind passengers not to be confused when searching for schedules or booking travel tickets,” he said in an official statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

Despite the use of a single name, KA Muria, passengers will still have various schedule options from morning until night. From Gambir Station, KA Muria is available with departure times at 06:00 WIB, 07:15 WIB, 12:00 WIB, 16:45 WIB, 19:45 WIB, and 22:40 WIB.

Meanwhile, from Semarang Tawang Station, departures are available at 05:50 WIB, 07:00 WIB, 14:00 WIB, 16:55 WIB, 19:00 WIB, and 22:40 WIB. With these schedule options, passengers can still adjust their travel time between Jakarta and Semarang to suit their respective activities.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta advises the public to book tickets through the Access by KAI application or official KAI ticket sales channels. Passengers are also expected to double-check all travel information listed on their tickets to ensure a safe, comfortable, and punctual journey.
