Are Jakarta-Seoul Flight Tickets Really Rp 1 Million?

Social media posts claim Seoul-bound flight tickets priced at around Rp 1 million. According to Kompas.com’s monitoring on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, this is linked to the presence of South Korean airline T’way Air. However, is the price truly this low? The international flights offer a round-trip route five times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. T’way Air’s Jakarta-Seoul fares are relatively cheaper compared to other airlines such as Garuda Indonesia, Asiana Airlines, and Korean Air, which also operate direct flights. Kompas.com’s monitoring of T’way Air’s official website on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, showed the cheapest one-way fare at approximately Rp 2.6 million. On the online travel agency platform Tiket.com, Garuda Indonesia offers Jakarta-Seoul tickets starting from Rp 6.7 million. Meanwhile, Asiana Airlines tickets for the same route and schedule are priced at around Rp 3.7 million. Despite being cheaper than other carriers, T’way Air currently has no Jakarta-Seoul tickets priced at Rp 1 million available for purchase. However, there is a possibility of future promotions for cheaper Seoul-bound flights.
