Arbi ranked second

LONDON (Reuter): Indonesian former world champion Hariyanto Arbi, winner of the singles title at the Konica Cup Singapore Open badminton Sunday, moved up four places to second spot in the world rankings issued Wednesday.

Hariyanto, who lost his title in Glasgow in May, recorded his second grand prix success of the season after winning the Indian Open in February.

China's Dong Jiong, despite his absence from Singapore, maintains a clear lead at the top of the standings.

Indonesia's Mia Audina's win over Gong Zhichao in the women's final, was enough to lift her two places to number four but China's Zhaoying remains number one.
