Arabs Begin Befriending Israel, Netanyahu Sends Iron Dome and Troops
Israel is sending Iron Dome air defence batteries and personnel to operate them in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the war with Iran. This was stated by the US Ambassador to Israel on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
“May I say a few words of appreciation, deep gratitude, and admiration for the United Arab Emirates?” said Mike Huckabee at a conference at Tel Aviv University.
“They were the first members of the Abraham Accords, but look at the benefits they are reaping. Israel has just sent Iron Dome batteries and personnel to help operate them. How is that possible? Because of the extraordinary relationship between the UAE and Israel based on the Abraham Accords,” he said.
Iran has targeted the UAE more than any other country during the war, which was triggered by US-Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic at the end of February. Although a ceasefire came into effect last month, the UAE has reported several missile and drone attacks from Iran.
The UAE itself is a major US ally in the region. The oil-rich nation is one of the few Arab countries to have official relations with Israel after signing the Abraham Accords during US President Donald Trump’s first term in 2020.
