Arab Nations Urge Decisive Action Against Israeli Violations in Palestine

New York (ANTARA) - Arab groups at the United Nations (UN) on Friday (5/6) urged the international community to take decisive action in response to Israeli violations in the Palestinian territories. In a statement delivered by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the UN, Abdulaziz Alwasil, during a press conference at the UN Security Council, the group rejected all actions aimed at altering the status of Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem. The statement also warned that Israel is expanding settlements and fragmenting the rights of the Palestinian people, while further cautioning against the continued escalation in the Gaza Strip. The Arab nations also rejected any attempts at the expulsion or forced displacement of Palestinian citizens. The Arab group reiterated its request for nations and international organisations to act firmly in response to the ongoing violations in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.
