Aqsa Working Group Statement on the Second Anti-Zionist Jewish Congress
The Second Anti-Zionist Jewish Congress (JAZIC) will be held on 26–28 June 2026 in Dublin, Ireland. The congress is supported by various human rights activists, academics, and international organisations. It brings together anti-Zionist Jewish figures with anti-imperialist activists from various countries, religions, and backgrounds to formulate concrete steps in fighting and dismantling Zionism and its crimes, including ethnic cleansing, occupation, apartheid, and genocide against the Palestinian people.
Chairman of the Presidium of the Aqsa Working Group (AWG), Anshorullah, stated that for the Aqsa Working Group, the JAZIC Congress is part of a global voice arising from conscience. The presence of Jewish brothers and sisters who openly reject Zionism sends a very strong message that the struggle against Zionism is not a struggle based on religion, but a joint struggle to defend humanity and justice.
Anshorullah said the Aqsa Working Group expressed gratitude for the invitation sent to the Chairman of the Presidium to attend the Second JAZIC Congress. He also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to attend the first JAZIC Congress in Vienna, Austria, in June 2025, describing the attendance as an honour and a source of pride for being part of such an important initiative. The official invitation was seen as both an honour and recognition of the consistency of the Aqsa Working Group and Indonesian civil society in defending Palestine and fighting for justice for the Palestinian people in various international forums.
However, Anshorullah regretted that the group could not attend the event this year because the visa applied for through the Irish Embassy in Jakarta had not yet been approved.
