Head of the Purwakarta District Prosecutor’s Office, Apsari Dewi, has dedicated the Leading Women Award she received to all female prosecutors in Indonesia.

Apsari received the award in the Outstanding Prosecutorial Leader in Public Accountability category at the CNN Indonesia Leading Women Awards 2026, held at the Auditorium of Menara Bank Mega on Tuesday (5/4) evening.

She expressed her gratitude for receiving the award.

“I wish to express my thanks for the trust and respect, the recognition given to us female prosecutors throughout the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, I dedicate this award to all female prosecutors in Indonesia,” Apsari said at the venue.

According to her, the challenges faced by law enforcement are not easy due to the stigma that enforcers must be tough and strong both mentally and physically.

“However, this award also proves that women can hold tough and strategic positions. Women, with their empathy and humanism, can create works and contribute to the nation,” Apsari stated.

Apsari received the award for being assessed as consistent in strengthening the oversight of village funds and promoting transparent governance. One of them is through digital innovations and cross-sector collaborations, thereby increasing accountability and public trust.

As a law enforcer, she is also assessed as demonstrating a commitment to humane justice with a focus on protecting women and children as well as a victim-centred approach.

Several other female leaders who won awards at the Leading Women Awards 2026 event last night included former Mayor of South Tangerang, Banten, Airin Rachi Diany (Outstanding Influential Woman Leader in Regional Development) and Chief Business Development Officer of HashMicro, Lusiana Lu (Best AI Innovator of the Year).

Also, Division Head of Institutional Relations at MIND ID, Selly Adriatika (Leading Woman in ESG & Public Affairs Leadership) and Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Suharti (Outstanding in Transformation of National Education Governance).
