ANTARA - The Chairman of the Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo), Solihin, responded to the polemic surrounding the government’s ‘Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih’ programme, which is perceived to impact the expansion of modern retail or minimarkets in several regions. During the launch of a free ‘warteg’ in Tangerang City, Banten, on Thursday (26/2), he affirmed that modern retail expansion always adheres to local government regulations and hopes that the expansion will boost the local economy and the surrounding community.
