Approximately 160 people estimated dead following US-Israeli attack on Iranian school
Tehran (ANTARA) – Local Iranian media, citing a statement from Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, has reported that the death toll from an airstrike by the United States and Israel on a girls’ school in southern Iran has reached approximately 160 people.
According to Xinhua, in a statement issued by the Iranian presidential office on Saturday (28 February), Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the airstrike, describing it as “inhumane”.
Pezeshkian also called upon all medical and aid centres, as well as relevant officials in the region, to prioritise “immediate and uninterrupted care” for the wounded and their families by mobilising all available resources.
The semi-official news agency Tasnim had previously reported that the death toll from the airstrike stood at 85 people.
