Approaching Eid al-Fitr, Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection partners with Artha Graha Peduli to distribute aid
Children have equal rights to receive affection, protection, and proper education. This constitutes our responsibility as a government to ensure these rights are fulfilled. The presence of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) alongside Artha Graha Peduli today is a tangible expression of this commitment,” said Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Arifah Fauzi in Jakarta on Tuesday.
This initiative represents a demonstration of concern for women and children, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
According to the minister, children represent the succeeding generation that will determine Indonesia’s future. Consequently, investment in fulfilling children’s rights and strengthening families has become increasingly important.
The ministry also expressed appreciation towards Artha Graha Peduli, its administrators, and accompanying staff who have collaborated in this social initiative.
According to the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Minister, synergy between the government, the business sector, and society serves as the key to expanding the reach of social concern whilst strengthening protection and welfare for women and children.
Overall, the distributed assistance totalled 510 food parcels, with 60 parcels provided to Rumah Ceria Seribu Pulau 1 in Bekasi Regency, West Java; 350 parcels to Maulana Yusuf Sunter Mosque in North Jakarta; and 100 parcels to Kartini Emergency School in North Jakarta.
This assistance is expected to ease the needs of families, particularly in the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
