Approaching 70 Years, Astra Demonstrates Commitment to Growing Together with Indonesia
For nearly seven decades, Astra has grown together with Indonesia through innovation, collaboration, and contributions expected to continue providing benefits for society. This journey has been woven together with the government, employees, partners, customers, communities, and various stakeholders across different regions who have been part of Astra’s journey to this day.
This shared journey has become the foundation for Astra’s contribution to Indonesia as it approaches its 70th anniversary on 20 February 2027. In the momentum leading towards seven decades, Astra officially introduced its 70th anniversary logo with the theme ‘Berkarya dan Tumbuh Bersama Indonesia’ at the Alun-Alun Astra event held at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (15/8), which also marked the beginning of the series of events leading up to Astra’s 70th anniversary.
The launch of Astra’s 70th anniversary logo was carried out by Astra Director Djap Tet Fa together with Executive In-Charge Astra Boy Gemino Kalauserang, accompanied by Chief of Corporate Affairs Astra Boy Kelana Soebroto, Chief of Human Capital Development Astra Matilda Ester Rotinsulu, Chief of Corporate Finance & Accounting Astra Endro Wahyono, and Chief of Corporate Information System & Technology Astra Anastasia Krisnawati.
‘Astra has a philosophy of always growing and developing like a leafy tree that provides shelter and benefits for many people. In line with this philosophy, Astra’s 70th anniversary logo is depicted as a tree, growing from strong roots, developing over time, and then providing broad benefits for society,’ said Boy Kelana Soebroto in a written statement on Sunday (16/8/2026).
In line with the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which carries the theme ‘Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur’, Astra is present among the community in supporting the realisation of the ideals and goals of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia through the spirit of the journey towards Astra’s 70th anniversary by providing tangible benefits and contributions and supporting the realisation of an independent, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
The series of celebrations leading up to Astra’s 70th anniversary carries the theme ‘Berkarya dan Tumbuh Bersama Indonesia’, reflecting Astra’s commitment to continue creating through innovation, collaboration, and tangible contributions that bring benefits to society. This theme serves as the common thread throughout the entire series of celebrations and affirms that entering its 70th year is not only a moment to celebrate achievements that have been attained, but also to continue creating, collaborating, and growing together with Indonesia in the future.
Meanwhile, the Alun-Alun Astra event provided a space for the public to join in celebrating Astra’s journey while getting to know more closely the various works and contributions of the nation’s people. Visitors could enjoy a variety of activities, ranging from interactive booths and creative workshops to a showcase of Desa Sejahtera Astra, which served as a communal space bringing together the public with various works, innovations, and contributions from Astra in welcoming 70 years of shared journey with Indonesia.
The Alun-Alun Astra event on the Semesta Berpesta entertainment stage, held from 15-16 August 2026, was also enlivened by Indonesian musicians including Raisa, Tulus, King Nassar, Rizky Febian, Mahalini, RAN, JKT48, The Adams, and others.
The spirit of mutual care present at Alun-Alun Astra is in line with Astra’s efforts to continue growing together with the community by delivering broader benefits. For nearly seven decades, Astra has been present in a shared journey that has brought benefits to more than 16 million people who have felt tangible impacts, including 6.9 million workers and their families and 3 million beneficiaries of social contributions through the Desa Sejahtera Astra programme spread across 1,533 villages in 35 provinces.
As a form of concern for communities in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region affected by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake on Saturday (15/8) morning, Alun-Alun Astra also became a momentum to realise the spirit of mutual care through concrete action by donating a portion of ticket sales proceeds, which will be channelled through Nurani Astra to help communities affected by the disaster.
This commitment is in line with Astra’s aspiration for Sejahtera Bersama Bangsa and supports Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
