Appreciation for Decline in Eid 2026 Accident Figures
Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Nasyirul Falah Amru, expressed appreciation to the Head of the National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, for the decline in traffic accident rates during the Eid exodus and return flows in 2026.
Based on data from PT Jasa Raharja, there was a 28% decrease in the fatality rate of victims compared to the same period in the previous year. The number of fatalities during the Eid exodus and return in 2026 was recorded at 228 people, down from 318 people the previous year.
The politician, familiarly known as Gus Falah, assessed that this achievement is the result of hard work by the Head of the National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police along with all its ranks in managing traffic flows during the Eid period, which is synonymous with a surge in public mobility.
“The decline in accident figures shows an increase in performance and good coordination in the field. We appreciate the strategic steps taken by the Head of the National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police and all its ranks,” said Gus Falah in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday (26/3).
Nevertheless, Gus Falah reminded that improvement efforts should not stop. He encouraged the Head of the National Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police to continue enhancing the quality of security and traffic management, so that accident rates can continue to be suppressed during the Eid exodus season in the coming years.
“In the future, we hope that innovation and evaluation continue to be carried out. Because even one life is very precious and must be protected,” he stressed.
Gus Falah also emphasised the importance of synergy between apparatus, government, and society in creating traffic safety, especially during the Eid exodus momentum which is an annual tradition in Indonesia.
