Appointed as Ambassador, Andi Rahadian Ready to Strengthen Indonesia-Oman Relations
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, concurrently to the Republic of Yemen, Andi Rahadian, is prepared to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Oman across various sectors.
“Insha’Allah, I will carry out the tasks assigned by the President to enhance bilateral relations in a positive manner in the fields of politics, economy, social affairs, culture, as well as protocol and consular matters, in accordance with the President’s directives,” Andi stated at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
Andi also affirmed that he will implement all instructions and orders from the central government in carrying out his duties as ambassador, and hopes to fulfil this mandate to the best of his ability for the interests of the nation and state.
Regarding the developing geopolitical situation in the Middle East, Andi stated that he will follow all directives from the central government in executing his duties in the assigned region.
“Insha’Allah, as conveyed by the President, we will implement all central directives and orders to the best of our ability upon assuming duties as Indonesia’s Extraordinary Ambassador,” he said.
It is known that President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Andi Rahadian as Indonesia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, concurrently to the Republic of Yemen, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31/P of 2026 on the Appointment of Indonesia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, which designates Andi Rahadian as ambassador to Oman concurrently to Yemen, with residence in Muscat.
“Appointing Andi Rahadian as Indonesia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman concurrently to the Republic of Yemen, residing in Muscat,” said Deputy for Civil Service Administration of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Nanik Purwanti.
Subsequently, President Prabowo led the oath-taking ceremony for Andi.
“I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations with utmost integrity for the sake of my devotion to the nation and state. That in carrying out my duties and position, I will uphold the ethics of the office, work to the best of my ability with full responsibility,” said Prabowo, followed by Andi.
Following the oath-taking, Andi and President Prabowo signed the minutes of the event as part of the inauguration proceedings.
